A Milestone for Mobility and Opportunity
For the first time ever, the San Bernardino community experienced an Electric Vehicle Ride & Drive event alongside the 2nd Annual Youth Career Fair. The result? A powerful showcase of what happens when vision, collaboration, and technology unite for the greater good.
The numbers tell the story: 54 ride and drives in Teslas and Hyundai EVs. For many participants, this was their first chance to feel the instant torque, quiet power, and cutting-edge tech of electric vehicles. The excitement was palpable — smiles, wide eyes, and enthusiastic conversations filled the campus as attendees discovered that the future of driving is not just clean, but thrilling.
Partners Powering Change
This event was only possible thanks to the dynamic collaboration between SkillFusion, Green Paradigm, Uplift San Bernardino, Making Hope Happen Foundation, San Bernardino Valley College, and Hyundai Motor America. Each partner brought unique strengths to make this a great success.
A Win-Win for the Community
While students explored dozens of career pathways, networked with local employers, and attended workshops on everything from resume-building to LinkedIn, adults and families took to the test track. The 54 EV ride and drives weren’t just numbers — they represented 54 new advocates for clean transportation, 54 people who might not have otherwise considered an EV, and 54 conversations that will ripple through the community.
This hands-on exposure is critical for EV adoption. It demystifies technology, builds confidence, and helps break down barriers to a cleaner, more sustainable future. Every ride taken is a step toward a healthier local ecosystem and a more resilient economy.
Collaboration: The Key to Community Transformation
Events like these prove that when organizations come together with a shared vision, the impact multiplies. By combining career exploration with real-world, hands-on EV experiences, the partners created an environment where opportunity and innovation thrived side by side. Students left inspired about their futures; adults left excited about new technology; and the entire San Bernardino community took a leap forward in clean energy awareness and adoption.
Looking Ahead
SkillFusion and its partners are committed to continuing this momentum — empowering the next generation, accelerating EV adoption, and building a stronger, greener Inland Empire. The first-ever EV Ride & Drive at the 2nd Annual Youth Career Fair was more than an event. It was a launchpad for change.
Together, we’re driving the future forward — one ride, one career, and one community at a time.
